Traveling is about experiencing the culture and food of the area you are visiting. Here are my top 5 memories, I can't wait to add more to the list!
1. London, Launceston Place - It is not necessarily the food that I remember from eating at this restaurant, but the reason. My husband proposed to me while we were on vacation in London and he had planned a special dinner afterwards at this restaurant. The restaurant was famous as it was a regular spot for Princess Diana.

2. Paris, Moulin Rouge- I have found myself traveling many times over Thanksgiving. The most memorable Thanksgiving dinner I ever had was at the Moulin Rouge in Paris. It was the first time I ever had snails. The most memorable part was who we sat next to. Space is at a premium in most of Europe and inside the Moulin Rouge is no different. They sit you across from your date at long tables which means you have strangers on either side of you. Sitting next to us, was a couple that was clearly part of the Russian mob, people watching has never been more interesting.

3. Palma de Mallorca, Spain - The first time I had paella was at a restaurant in Mallorca. We sat at an outside table on one of the main streets in Mallorca. They brought the palella out to us and finished the dish table side. What could be better, great food in a beautiful setting.

4. Georgetown, Grand Cayman - Growing up in the midwest I have never been a huge fish fan. But you know what they say when in Rome... We stopped in Georgetown, Grand Cayman on our honeymoon cruise. We hit all of the highlights Grand Cayman has to offer - Stingray City, Hell and the turtle farm. Before we headed back to the ship we decided to stop for some lunch. There was a little shack on the water that we decided to try. There special was catch of the day and I said why not. They service the fish on a plastic plate with plastic silverware and we sat and ate on the deck over the water. It was the best fish I have ever ate!

5. Japan - Every meal we had in Japan was memorable. Japan is known as one the great culinary destinations in the world and now I know why! From conveyor belt sushi, wagyu beef, do-it-yourself tempura and ramen every meal was better than the next!
